KIND WORDS

"An absolute pleasure! Working with Leia was amazing, she created an environment where I felt comfortable and really got me to channel my inner self. I love the photos she took because they really feel like me! Every time I use one of the photos I feel so much joy remembering that experience!"

KIND WORDS

Leia has always been my go to for photo documentation. I know I can always trust her to perfectly capture even the most challenging of my blown glass works with precision and an amazing care for detail. The quality of her work is superior and I know placing my work in her hands is trust well placed... 11 /10

Sunshadow Project YYC

Carya East Village Artist In Residence

JULY-SEPT 2024

Bringing art and community together in Eau Claire

This summer, join me for The Sunshadow Project, a series of free cyanotype workshops and community art exhibition at Carya East Village in downtown Calgary. Residents of Eau Claire and surrounding communities are invited to create art prints using the sun, water, and their own special mementos. During our workshops, you'll get to share stories with your neighbours and reflect on the question "what makes a place feel like home?".

At the end of September, everyone's prints will be displayed in an art exhibition at Carya. All the prints will create a "mosaic" of the people that make up the community of Eau Claire and represent all the things they love. Interested in joining our art project?

FINE ART PRINTS AND VITREOS

Hot glass meets film photography

As an interdisciplinary artist I incorporate the glass I make in the hotshop into unique silver gelatin prints and cyanotypes. By utilizing the material qualities of glass – transparency, distortion, and refraction – I can create unique prints that capture the sublime and the unseen. Due to the nature of my process, my “vitreos” are one of a kind pieces.
