Living Landscapes Campaign

The Problem: Travel Alberta’s imagery lacked human interaction. Focused on vast scenic landscapes, audiences couldn’t place themselves within the scene, representing a missed opportunity to connect with audiences.

The Solution: Living Landscapes places real people into a 3D interplay environment that deliver depth that viewers can jump themselves into.

Technical Details: Papercraft techniques are used to construct these printed landscapes. Lighting was replicated to give a sense of scale in each image. Final editing of the composite blended edges to seamlessly complete the illusion of a real place and time.

* This project was a mock campaign and is NOT endorsed by Travel Alberta

AUArts Artist Fantasy Trading Cards

Who says artists can’t save the world? This photo-illustration series brings the magic of art school to life by elevating artists in different AUArts majors to magical DnD style adventure heroes!

Each of the five trading cards features a current student at AUArts and comes with an additional info card that highlights a few of their class specialties. Included departments in the set are: Ceramics, Glass, Print Media, Sculpture, and Photography. This project was a collaboration between myself and five of my friends to inspire first and second years, have some fun, and as we inch closer to graduation, to remember why we all choose to be artists: because art is magical! This set of photo-illustrations is designed as an interactive set of 10 trading cards (5 illustration, 5 info) for folks to collect.

No stock photography was used in the making of this series. All components of the project, including textures, was created from photographs taken in AUArts.

For All Things Musical Campaign

The Problem: Cassa Musical Arts was challenged in representing their exceptional value proposition within imagery. Their elite integrative programming focussed on a fun and dynamic experience for all ages was not shining through to target audiences.

The Solution: A photo series featuring stop-motion animation reels for online distribution along with energy-infused stills for print media. Images highlight Cassa’s programming and showcase actual students in interactive play.

Photo Doc Days - Affordable Art Documentation

As both a craftsperson and photographer who is passionate about community-building, I think it is important to pay it forward whenever possible. During my time as the Show + Sale Coordinator at the Alberta University of the Arts Student's Association I spearheaded the Photo Doc Days service, which provides affordable art documentation to AUArts students while giving photography majors a great portfolio opportunity and industry standard payment for their work. The annual event in March directly supports Show + Sale's virtual markets and helps emerging artists get the photos they need to show off their artwork. Photo Doc Days remains to date one of my proudest achievements.
